New TV shows

My brother and his girlfriend are really into American Horror Story. I've seen a couple of episodes and it is intriguing, pretty well done, but not really my cup of tea.
I didn't find it outright scary, although it has a persistently creepy overtone to it.

I'm currently watching Dexter and Sons of Anarchy. I'm up to date with Walking Dead, but I doubt I'll watch it once it restarts. The second season was just awful. In general I mostly enjoy HBO shows. The quality is very high. I wished I could wipe my memory and watch Wire as new again. I absolutely loved that show.

When does Game of Thrones season 2 start?

I'm unable to get into Boardwalk Empire. It's a decent show, good production values, acting is all right. Something is out of place with it, so I've cut if from my viewing list.

Dexter I love, but it is not something I can watch every week. I always wait until the season is over then watch it from the first to last episode back to back over a weekend. Awesome show!

Top Gear is the shit, the American version blows donkey balls compared to the real UK show. There's something about Jeremy test driving any car he doesn't like that always ends me in tears by the end of the segment. Clearly an example where British television shows its genius.

House is actually getting good for me to watch again after the last two seasons of wishy washy blah blah blah. I'm getting the chuckles again, the new cast is decidedly better turn IMO.

Revenge isn't so bad, I just really like looking at Emily VanCamp. She's sexy.

I cannot wait for Game of Thrones to come back, just add 5 episodes to a season to flesh out the story a bit more.

Tonight is the season finale of Dexter which I'm looking forward to too, Revenge is more than holding my interest right now. Imagine a soap opera with a serious dark side...

Top Gear USA I can't watch. I've tried it many times, but it's just so not Top Gear without the guys. :( Christmas special is the 28th, (what?!?), and then the new season starts in January so it'll all be good.

The Mentalist in the US is my guilty pleasure show that I'm embarrassed to admit I love.

There has been two new TV-shows which I've liked very very much: Homeland and Boss. And then there has been Terra Nova :devilish:

Homeland is just great. Good story and good actors, with interesting twists in the plot. We've seen 11 episodes already so I suppose tonight's episode is the last one.

And what about the Boss then? Kelsey Grammer should receive all the top actor awards for his great performance. Just great work and the whole series is easily in my top-5 favourites of all time. It's like a mix of Sopranos and the West Wing.

In addition to those, Dexter has been OK. Not as great as season 4 but still better than season 3 :) And in case you haven't seen it already, Luther's season 2 was fantastic. The series is like the "Cracker" but maybe even better. Walking Dead's season 2 started very well but overall the season (thusfar) has been disappointing.

1.1.2012 should bring us the season 2's first episode of Sherlock.

Grimm is fairly interesting from the new tv-series. Has great potential but also could become pointless fillers. So far, so good :) Not going to spoil more of it, there is some fun in not knowing too much about this tv-series before seeing it.

If you have HBO and haven't seen Boardwalk Empire, do yourself a favor and watch it. Possibly the most interesting cast of characters ever, I'm a big Richard Harrow fan.

There's a new show I am really interested in called Luck. Starring Dustin Hoffman, Nick Nolte and Dennis Farina among others. Pilot is directed by my favourite director Michael Mann (Heat, Public Enemies, Collateral) and he is also an exec. producer. It is HBO so you know there's going to be a certain level of quality.

Ok, now you made my day!
Michael Man?!
And with that cast, I think I have a favorite show already!

Dexter rocked as usual, and Ringer, (ok, I'm a geek, anything that has remotely something to do with Josh Weddon, I have to see) is very, very, VERY bad...
Oh well, I guess I'll just watch Firefly again :p

I can recommend The Borgias with Jeremy Irons, if you need something new to see, about Rome and the Pope's family in the 1490's.

A nice corrupt bunch.
