New Shadowrun Screenshots

It's a huge improvement, but I'm still not digging the cartoony look...or maybe it's just the brightness of the environment - it's just not...shadow..run. *shrug*. Folks should check out the changes to the story as well. It's much more in-line with the original backstory, and I think it fits much better now.

Just a reminder: Their website is IE-friendly only. Other browsers seem to screw up.

pretty good character models, but the environments look kind of...blocky?
but its the gameplay that counts at the end of the day.

The lighting is quite flat and not next-gen, IMO.
It looks like PDZ with different art, actually.

But yeah, it definitely trounces its previous showing.

Aye... kind of depressing... but... here's a before/after:

If they can get some self-shadowing in there, things would look a lot better probably. The lighting reminds me of HL2.

Why does The Future always have to consist of bland, empty, lifeless environments? The environments remind me of lousy homemade Unreal 1 levels. Would it have killed them to put some attention to detail anywhere?

Im glad I didn't see these last nite. I'de rather cry into my coffee than into my pillow.

This game is a terrible shame. I can't remember the last time a prime ip was so utterly squandered.

I think the shadowrun team needs to go see Ubisoft and pick up ther Assassins Creed engine... Shadowrun on the AC engine with AC's style of play but set in the future, would in essence be what everyone was expecting with this IP.

Twist the knife!

Please stop!

The graphics seem to have been improved. Now they just need to scrap the gameplay and make an RPG. :)

"Now" it looks like another B game? "Now"? Man, where were you at E3? Shadowrun *defined* the B quality level at E3.

Anyway, the hands-on are fairly positive. Maybe it'll be a fun game after all, but I don't know why they made it Shadowrun. None of the fans seem to like the game.

I'm somewhat curious as to how they are handling X360 and PC networking. An FPS is hardly something to showcase for bridging the gap, IMO.

I think it goes like this:

Dumb Marketing Guy 1: We have this shadowrun IP, think we should make an RPG?

Dumb Marketing Guy 2: No man, everyone knows that our install base only likes FPS and Racing games.

Dumb Marketing Guy 1: FPS? Well that would be wierd...

Dumb Marketing Guy 2: Ya but think about it, we could make it a FPS, sell it to the brainless masses, then when we release the RPG it wil be already have a fanbase!!

Dumb Marketing Guy 1: Sir, you are a genious!

The models remind me of those bad saturday morning kids cartoons that try to emulate real life. Not liking the look at all :\

Play it then talk. This is closer to the actual shadow run game than any shadow run CRPG to date.
