New NBA2k6 Trailer!!!

It's all replay footage though. The stuff I've already seen looked good until they showed gameplay, where the animations just killed the ambience. If the animation ws as good as this trailer in the actual gameplay, then I'd be impressed!

I can't believe how much better this looks than live, the animations are on a whole nother level.
 
I think the animations look better in Live. Watching the HD footage the way the players interact and try to box out I could have sworn I was watching a real live game.

I'm happy to see real cloth physics in 2K6 though, hopefully that will become a standard for all next gen games.
 
When I watched the low res versions of these, I almost got the impression I was looking at sprites. The animation was a little too jerky and quick, but the characters themselves looked prerendered. It was a very weird feeling.
 
In fact , you really have to look at the hd@60fps movies, small ones dont do the game justice AT ALL.
Just focus on one player and you'll see ;)
 
I watched the video , but I don't see what you mean. This interview usually shows NIS (non interactive sequences) amd rarely did it show anyone playing.
 
the animations are so much better than the nba 06 animations. this looks pretty amazing, they dont move like robots anymore :D

dont get me wrong, nba06 looks great too, but i think i like the animations on 2k6 more o_O
graphics are also a bit better :X (did you see the create a character in 06, ew)

The thing that Live has got down are the player interactions. In 2K6 the players when they bump into each other come to a complete stop or glide off one another. I think that's what makes it look stiff.
