NAT 3 problem

I've seen that some providers who give you a router actually have special firmware (let alone a password) to stop customers messing with their routers. A good reason to get your own rather than use the default hardware and settings the ISP wants you to use.

I just recently changed my provider and my router was modem/router was replaced with an Allied Telesis AT-iMG634W.

Now since this happen I get a NAT 3.

I cant play online, I cant use DLNA, and neither does remote access work online.

I have NAT 3, use DLNA and play online. The only game I know that doesn't work is Darkness, which isn't really a miss though.

Resetting is not the best way in this case , I would call customer service and ask for the password if I were you ...
If the reset button is there, you can call support and blame your kid for pressing the button and now nothing works. Then (I expect) they'll give you all the details to enter into the router yourself, where you can freely edit them about. If they won't just give you the password when you ask nicely.

Well mine doesnt seem to want to support it since this modem was installed.

I called them and they said they dont have the username and password. They told me that they were going to open the ports (whatever that means) from there and they provided me with a static IP adress.

I used that one on my PC and the PS3 (manual internet connection), and got a NAT2 on my PS3. I got an error on my computer saying that another computer is using the same IP and it wouldnt let me use the media server.

So I let the PC find an IP automatically and left my PS3 with its static IP.

Now although I get online gaming now, TVersity doesnt seem to want to run on my PS3 but the Windows media server icon does appear for Windows media player 11.

Any recommendations?

btw I ve also noticed that in my PS3's connection status it lists UPnP as Not Available

One more thing. I was told that in order to access my router's settings I can connect the providers' with another router and change whatever I want from there.

Any ideas on how to do that?

Hello, i called on primetel 133 and they explained to me that ports from 1025 until 60000 are open and forwarded on the ip 192.168.2.10 (if you want you can ask the to open all the ports).

So if you want to access your pc remotely, or use p2p programs, then you need to enter the following manually ip settings:
IP Address. . . . . . . . . . . . : 192.168.2.10
Subnet Mask . . . . . . . . . . . : 255.255.255.0
Default Gateway . . . . . . . . . : 192.168.2.1
DNS Servers . . . . . . . . . . . : 217.27.32.196
217.27.50.125

Something else because all the ports go to one ip if you need more than one pcs to have open ports then you can put a normal router on the modem with the ip 192.168.2.10 and connect your pcs after the router with ips 192.168.2.11 ... then you can forward from your router the ports you need to the ip that you need.
