I have a letter right now telling me to do jury duty.
I swear I hate this crap.

The only people who can be excused are politicians and detained people.
Why do I have to do it?

As a uni bum on holidays I enjoyed my jury duty ( then again some ppl in a jury did piss me the hell off ). Oh yes I got paided minium wage + transport and food allowance.

Anyway I was on a rape of a 14 year old by their foster father case and this case

I'd not recommend doing that. When I got my jury summons, I was out of state. Therefore, I didn't have to do it. They didn't seem to care. I'm not sure about your local government, but tell them you are a student and you can't give up classes. They may defer you. Also, if you call the number, they'll usually have directions about what to do.

Well i'm in London, and in London you can just about escape anything, much more so something like this...
