Musk bought Twitter, what hasn't gone wrong?

Elon is like Trump in that he doesn't like to be seen losing. Though honestly who does? He was going to lose and now can pretend he did not.

He has put too much stake of his companies into his personal image. Bad business move for the companies. For himself, if its a bad mive or not will depend on how much he can capitalize on the personal brand. If as much as Trump... Then fuck those companies.

Supposedly the government might intercede and stop the purchase now that Elon has agreed. That would really bail him out and be hilarious. In any case we will have to wait and see.

Not true...

White House says reports about national security reviews of Elon Musk's Twitter deal and Starlink network were 'not true'

  • The White House has said reports of national security reviews for Elon Musk's deals were false.
  • The White House press secretary said in a briefing: "The national security review, that is not true."
  • Bloomberg reported last week the US was weighing national security reviews for some of Elon Musk's ventures.
The White House said on Monday reports that the US was mulling national security reviews of some of Elon Musk's deals were false.

Latest rumor is he will have the deal closed by Friday & I can't wait to see what happens! 😁

I add a whole Kg of salt to any claim made by US gov. or its agencies for anything that is moderatly related to a current war or conflict the country is directly or inderectly involved in.

US has proved time and again to have zero problems lying through its teeth in the most absurd ways. Their intelligence agencies also have tentacles every, fucking, where. They are paranoid and whitch-hunty. As soon as Musk started providing internet to ukraine, you bet your ass US officials already knew the colour of his poop. Now that he started playing world savior and designing simplistic plans for world peace, they must even know the taste. Specially given his proposals go directly against the current Washington agenda, and the war-industry-lobby.

Someone woke up on the wrong side of the bed this morning. Have a big donut & smile!

I had the impression that he was playing crazy to force a rethinking in the sellers, now it's friday?

Judge in the Twitter case paused the trial to give Elon time to close the deal by the end of month. If he doesn't close the the trial will continue.

Btw the silly sink in tweet meme thingy Elon made by bringing a sink to Twitter hq and saying let it sink in.

Feels like that is the first time in years Elon has done silly jokes like that.

Chaos ... pure chaos... This android is completely insane.

They're testing what is allowed on the platform with the new owner being off their rocker:

This is just too funny now ...

The company promptly emailed him with the subject line: "Managing Twitter 101," adding that he had just 30 days to complete the informational course. "Hey Elon, its time to start Managing @Twitter 101," the email read. "M101 covers what it means to be a good manager at Twitter by showing you how to create opportunities for impact, help your Tweeps grow their careers, and demonstrate care for your team."

"Psst… you've only got 30 days to finish this mandatory course. And once you're done, we'll enroll you in Managing @Twitter 201," the email continued.

Elon Musk is reportedly planning to charge Twitter users $20 per month to earn the coveted verification badge via a Twitter Blue subscription, even if they are already verified. Oh, and the team on the project was told they have until November 7 to launch the feature or they will be fired.

Elon Musk begins mass layoffs at Twitter

SAN FRANCISCO — Elon Musk is beginning mass layoffs at Twitter, sharply reducing the company’s workforce of 7,500 and beginning his wholesale overhaul of the company, as he took aim at a work environment he has decried as too relaxed.

“Team, In an effort to place Twitter on a healthy path, we will go through the difficult process of reducing our global workforce on Friday,” the email to workers said, instructing them of how they may learn whether their position was affected. “We recognize that this will impact a number of individuals who have made valuable contributions to Twitter, but this action is unfortunately necessary to ensure the company’s success moving forward.”

The email kicked off an anxious wait for many employees, who would not find out immediately whether they would be affected. Instead, it said that by 9 a.m. Pacific time Friday, workers would receive an email with the subject line: “Your Role at Twitter.”

Those keeping their jobs would be notified on their company email. Those losing them would be told via their personal email.

And anyone who did not receive an email by 5 p.m. Pacific was told to follow up with the company.

Twitter said its offices would be closed Friday.

“We acknowledge this is an incredibly challenging experience to go through, whether or not you are impacted,” the email continued. “We are grateful for your contributions to Twitter and for your patience as we move through this process.”

It was the Musk team’s first official companywide communication with his staff.

I wish everyone and their families that were impacted the best of luck in landing on their feet and picking up the pieces.

As for Twitter ... Time to burn it down, burn it all down!
