Microsoft Project xCloud (Game Streaming), now offering Fortnite free without GPU membership

I do wish these sticks had an easier way to support standard length HDMI cables. Its a PITA getting any of them connected to my AVR in its entertainment center.

More Games with Xbox Touch Controls

Starting December 3, Ultimate members will have new ways to play these cloud enabled games via their Android devices – each now featuring touch controls!
  • Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night
  • Golf With Your Friends
  • Hyperdot
  • Ikenfell
  • Indivisible
  • ScourgeBringer
  • The Touryst
  • Vambrace Cold Soul

That seems a mostly terrible selection of games to play with streaming/touch. I welcome the effort though and the youngsters might manage things better than I can.

Some of The Touryst will be ok but I've finished that. Will give Ikenfell a bit of a go.

Expanding Xbox to new players is central to our ambition of helping games and developers find an easy path to the world’s 3 billion gamers. We are doing this by embracing multiple devices and providing a consistent Xbox experience wherever you log in, whether that’s on your Xbox Series X|S, PC, Xbox One, Android device or – starting in Spring 2021 – your Windows PC and iOS device from the cloud.

In Spring 2021, we will take the next step in our journey to reach more players around the world by making cloud gaming as part of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate available on Windows PCs through the Xbox app and browser, and iOS devices through mobile web browser.

You’re also getting the most out of the Xbox Game Pass library – compared to the prior year, in November, Xbox Game Pass monthly engagement more than doubled. We also saw:

  • Over 1.6 million seamless upgrades delivered to Xbox Series X|S owners with Smart Delivery.
  • Over 40% of you joining Xbox for the first time are playing on Xbox Series S.
  • One of the fastest selling Xbox Series X|S markets out of 40+ launch regions, Europe saw record sellouts in a matter of hours across the UK, France and Germany.
  • During November, Xbox Game Pass members played more of their favorites, including, Destiny 2: Beyond Light, Rainbow Six: Siege, Tetris Effect Connected, and Star Wars: Jedi Fallen Order with EA Play on Xbox Game Pass Ultimate.

Cloud gaming (beta) with Xbox Game Pass Ultimate coming to iOS and PC in 2021

By adding over a billion devices as a path to playing in the Xbox ecosystem, we envision a seamless experience for all types of players; whether it’s playing Minecraft Dungeons with your Xbox friends using touch controls on an iPhone, or jumping into a Destiny 2: Beyond Light strike on a Surface Pro when you have a break between meetings.

Whatever screen you choose, we want to make it easy to continue your game and connect with your friends.

Finally, we’ll bring cloud gaming with Xbox Game Pass Ultimate to new markets, including Australia, Brazil, Japan and Mexico, where we recently began our limited Project xCloud preview program.

We can’t wait to share more early next year about our cloud gaming ambitions and how you can expect to take your gaming experiences further.

Cool. Hopefully they'll be up and running with XSX hardware when PC streaming launches. It could do with a loading speedup.

I can understand streaming is a viable alternative to consoles...but for PC...that doesn't make sense?
While on consoles the "trade off" is practivcally a non-issue....but on a PC...the "trade off" is bigger and much more noticeable...why would I pay to go down in settings/fidelity?
If I wanted lower settings I would buy a console...this make zero sense in my mind :nope:

This will absolutely shock the socks off you, but not everybody who games on a PC has a great PC. :nope: Some people game on fairly crappy PCs and may be in the position where the cost of a monthly subscription is more manageable than a large upfront payment for a new PC or a lot of upgrades.

In my case, I find myself steaming in the house from the PC to laptop / TV /Phone much more than I used to. I don't always want to sit in the office to game. There's also the lack of downloads when just trying something out on GP. Also when XSX hits the servers it kind of postpones the point where I might want to upgrade. Horses for courses and all that, but I'm quite excited by the prospect.

I stream on my surface device all the time. The go2 is a great little portable gaming device if your connection is good neough
