MAG

There are plenty of low enough level players. at least in VALOR. I'll check next few games I play. But with the upcoming double XP weekend there's no better time to start. Definitely get the medikit and resus' abilities first thing, as the XP is much easier to get than kills (10 for a resuscitation where you don't need to aim well!). I also have a nice sideline in claymore kills.

How do I get the knife ? After KP-7, I upgraded to "swifter knife action". I checked through all my loadouts, none of them has the knife.

What ? Pressing R3 makes your character do a knife swipe like COD games...you didn't knew this ?

It's for real ! I never thought of R3, and was looking for the knife for a long time. I thought it'd show up after the knife upgrade but it didn't. So I respec'ed for the first time. I have like 56,000 respec points now. ^_^

I'm gonna put a rest to other games..its MAG time fellas !

I went back to it the minute I cleared Cocoon. :p

I just kitted out the new VALOR LMG (Mk 1). Is the same as the old Mk 0 save a slightly faster firing rate, which makes you wonder why the Mk 0 is still acailable, because there's no benefit to using it. Can anyone report on the changes for the two evil factions? Is it a similar fire-rate increase for them or have Zipper increased the faction variety, focussing on firepower for SVER and maybe even faster firing for RAVEN?

I didn't notice much change in AM50, tier 1 MG, KP-7 and the pistol. I think they improved the sniper rifle sound. Then again, it may be me playing with a different headphone.

I was going solely by the weapon chart when equipping - the fire rate is increased a third of a bar for the Mk 1.

What weapon chart ? There's an in-game stats page for equipped weapons. ?
I only know they show the available weight

When you go into the loadout page, every gun has a little 4 stat scale. Accuracy, Stability, Dmg and Fire Rate or somesuch. As you equip accesories these adjust to show the improvement, and swapping between Mk 0 and Mk 1 LMGs, the fire rate jumps up a bit.

OMG, what have I been playing. I only paid attention to the weight when setting up my loadouts weeks ago.

I think the most obvious addition in the last patch is the Flash Bang. People seem to like it in Valor Objective C. I was disoriented quite a few times while trying to take it. Found myself facing the wrong direction, in the wrong group after the explosion. :D

I will check my loadout tonight and compare with the old charts from the Internet.

Flashbangs... Like the game wasn't confusing enough! Anyway, what about the RAVEN LMG upgrade? Is it firing rate?

Eh... I can check too, but people like Cornsnake, Eyes, and macabre may know better. The numbers may not translate into practical benefits or shortfalls. Just like the small accuracy loss in sniper rifle can be compensated by the huge magnification gain in power scope.

I really like to think that there are an equal amount of stupid idiots in each PMC, I REALLY like to. But honestly, Valor takes the cake.

They all leave at the slightest sign of opposition, the game adds new players, and again they all leave, teamkilling as soon as the game starts, randomly voting players off, all in the same game. It's no wonder they can barely hold on to a single contract.

Their recruitment video refers to them as being special in a way you would only understand if you were a part of them. Well now I know what they meant by "special".

I'll be leaving them as soon as I make it to level 60 again. Thank god for that double XP weekend.

I didn't get a chance to try out Raven's MG because I left before the new DLC arrived. Valor's MG has a slight boost fire rate, but I can't put it to good use because I've spend all my skillpoints on the medical kit. Yesterday I fired in bursts while prone at a stationary target about 20 meters away, I didn't get a single hit. All those passive skills are a useless addition to the game. Only serving to widen the gap between low and high level players.

Sorry no clue, just arrived home after a couple of days out of town.

Ha ha, get ready for Flashbangs. ^_^
Don't play the game in a dark room. You'll be blinded.

 Does it happen every game ? On Raven side, I do get attempts to vote me off for no reason (but they never succeeded). I got team killed intentionally twice. Once by a sniper who wanted my spot. The other by soldiers who wanted me to go with them (probably no headset).

The Valors I met are usually quite a handful to handle.

EDIT: Are the Valor skill tree the same as Raven's ? Most of them seem to use some heavy MG or shotgun/knife. I ran into a match where 3 Valor snipers teamed up against us yesterday, but that's rather rare.

Also to defend our Shopping Mall, I have finally started to engage enemies at the parachute point. Most of the time I sniped them from behind. But yesterday, half the company was at the parachute point murdering people. ^_^ Someone did manage to get to our objective C but it was quickly disarmed.

Rage quitting happens mostly when attacking. I had a game of Sabotage where only 12 players stayed until the end. Teamkilling is very common, happens almost every game.

The only reason Valor has a Sabotage contract is because their own map is so easy to defend. Especially C, which is partially thanks to the fact that attackers rarely use the left or right entrance. Instead they all go through the same 2 entrances through the front, creating a nice little bottleneck they have to go through. Spam some gas grenades in there you'll be rewarded with lots of assist.

The gas grenades I got unlocked for free after I vetted over. Although that's probably a bug because Zipper never mentioned it.

Right now I'm sticking with Sabotage. The one contract gives another 5% XP bonus, making it fastest way out of Valor. Acquisition is my favourite gamemode, but having seen Valor consistently lose at it as Raven, I'm not going to bother with it.

Valor's skill tree is the same as Raven's. Only the stats for the weapons are slightly different. Valor's MG's are considered to be the best of the 3 PMC's. Their shotgun also has a bigger clip as Raven's. Valor's smg being the worst also make the shotgun the best choice for close combat. Raven has the best AR, the ATAC 2000, and a great smg, the F90.

Did Valors lose one contract to Raven ? I see Raven with 2 contracts last night, one from SVER and one from Valor ?

Valor Objective C is my favorite base because I can spam poison grenade like mad. Got quite a few Purple Sidekick ribbons from it. However the recently added Flashbang is a major disruption. Now I can't aim the grenades properly because someone's spamming Flashbang. I threw 3-4 into my own guys.

Last week(s) Raven has been able to grab a Sab contract, keep both the Aq contracts and keep a Domination contract.
