Living out of the country

I just came up with this idea so it's not put together very well, but here it goes. I've decided that I want to go to somewhere in the carribean or mexico, to live and work, for next summer. For either part or the majority of the summer.

I'll need a place to stay obviously, a house apt. whatever. I'll also need to get a decent enough job to live off of, profiting isn't much of a concern for me. So what I want to know is where do you think I should go to? The country has to have a decent economy so I can get by. I also want it to have a "decent" amount of people that speak english so I won't have to much trouble getting around or finding a job.

I'd also prefer for it not to be the rainy season, (I originally thought of going to Puerto Vallarta, Mexico but the summer is their rainy season). The place also needs to be somewhat touristy, I'd like to meet different types of people.

Also what would I need to do as far as getting temporary citizenship? Do I need to get a green card for that country, do green cards cost money? etc.

If any of you guys have done anything like this I would appreciate your take on it and how your experience went.

Any help would be appreciated.

If you want a foreign twist that's not too far from home, try Montreal, Quebec. It's like a little slice of Europe that is predominantly english-speaking ;)

Belize, not that I know how their economic conditions are like, speaks english as the official language.

Definitely Belize. it's basically a little-USA in south america. I had a friend who, the summer he graduated HS, went to Belize for a year to work one a tourist "ranch" (coupple of roof's in the middle of the jungle, basically) that a some friends of his parents ran.... havnt talked to him since although I know he's somewhere in Dallas now.

About Puerto Vallarta,

I went there in the summer, and while it rained while I was there, it wasn't that bad. The mountains around the bay there cause nearly all of the rain to fall on the South side of town. It's gorgeous there, but quite touristy. The place is the time-share capital of the world. By the way, what type of job are you looking to secure? That could make a big difference as to where you'd want to go.
