Kristof's comments on render to texture

I have been thinking I should be working at least one of the words 'Rainbow' 'Chains' 'Dragon' or 'Virgin' into every post I make, but I've been finding it difficult.

Oh my god, I think I am going to be sick. Who would name themselves after the rocker Dio? All this time I was hoping he wasn't your namesake. After hearing "Lock Up the Wolves", I wished I was born deaf.

We have a blasphemer! I guess you never heard "Holy Diver", one of the all time great hard rock albums. :)

P.S. Dio is italian for "God".
P.P.S. Does this say anything about the guy using "Dio" as his handle on Beyond 3D? :D

Tenacious D are and never will be the equivalent of Frank Zappa.

I am surprised those Netherland boys haven't jumped in to stick up for their Dio keyboarder, as he is the only member of the band who could have been good.

Rodney James, what kind of hairmetal name is that? ;)

Hey, I like him. Well. Some of it. As OpenGLguy says, Holy Diver, and all the Rainbow and Sabs stuff.

It was also the name I used when I was lead coder on a MUD some years ago (hence Dio == God which was appropriate for the game but yes, at the time I probably did have a complex), there's a matchup between the name and mine, it's handy for arcade machines that take a 3-letter high score, and at least I'm not called 'OwNZURbutT' or something!

Glad to see we've drifted encouragingly off-topic :)
 
What have these last "N" posts got to do with 3D graphics, let alone texture storage formats? (Has something gone awry with the forum database?)
