knurl screws help

sorry about the stupidity of this post but if I can't get help here then to hell with it... Im looking to repair some scsi cable connectors and I cant seem to find what the part is even called let alone a part number to give my logistics team.

knurl screws is the most likely answer.. just like on a vga cable, the fasteners to either side of my scsi have been torqued with a screw driver when doing an inventory of all system parts I had to remove said cables, and of course they broke. I need to replace those without buying all new cables. while not my money, it might make my team look a little less inept. Any ideas/leads would be very appreciated

yes sir!! old scsi cables wont fit.. unfortunately It's military based so when they say cots( commercial off the shelf) what they really mean is utterly proprietary.. but if I can find a seller then I can match up the size and be done with it

if it means that much to you buy a scsi cable out of your own pocket i take it you only broke the one
if you really dont want anyone to know just spend the $5

You can get custom cables made as well.

I ran into a problem like this with a shimadzu instrument. It was used and the shipper included the wrong type of cable, 2 of one type instead of 2 of separate types. I was about to get a custom scsi cable made, but then the seller made good and provided the correct cable from shimadzu. ( we could have bought it as well, but it was ridiculously expensive from them).

ahem,.. its not the cables I need just the proper name of those little screws. when it comes to money well... the worlds largest DOD contractor is paying those bills. I could care less, I just don't wanna have to order the full cables and wait FOREVER, when I could just find the screws and be done with all of it in a matter of a week.

This isn't hard at all.

What do the screws go into? Most times you can remove the part the screw hooks to and take it to a hardware store to get a bolt that has the right threads. Yes I said bolt, you dont need magic plastic things over the head to make it work.
