Kinda o/t question

Anyone know where I could get one of those un-off ps2 modems with browsing capability?

I'd like to know the names, brands, and where I can get'em, stores online/real, etc...

Thanks in advance.

I do not know of any, sorry :(

I use the PlayStation 2 Linux kit to do web browsing on the PlayStation 2 if I need to.

Mostly I use my laptop and then I ftp from the PlayStation 2 to the laptop...

There was the Egbrowser, to my knowledge it was only released in Japan, bundled with some USB modems or sold separately.

Check this URL for some screenshots:

And there is Sony's BB-Navigator (again Japan only), but I am not sure if it features web-browsing.

BB-Navigator v0.2 (latest one seems to be 0.3) cannot browse the web, there are channels, you can browse the publishers' channels in game channel, music and movie channels are for storing your download music and movie from the publishers' channels. And there is a collection area that you can manipulate the saved games (on hard disk and memory cards) and play downloaded game demo (on hard disk). Please correct me if I am wrong as they are right out of my head and I haven't used BB-Navigator for quite some time already.

wha what what ?
You have all those BB functions, music, movie and demo download already in Japan? Can you also save game data directly in HD?
Is there any images what the BB navigator looks like anywhere?
Why we can not have same kind of service from Sony?
I want downloadable content too!!

For movie, I mean the trailers from the game channels, I have downloaded some movie from the channels in my PS2 HDD, hadn't seen any music yet.

I have tried one or two downloaded playable demos, but they are PS games for the ones that I'd downloaded.

Only a few games (compared to the huge PS2 library) can save directly to HDD, although you can always make a directory and copy the saves to the hard disk by yourself.

And it will look for updated software (I think is the navigator and system software) whenever it starts.

And BTW, snapshots can't tell you the interface, I have captured 3 movies in Windows Media 9 format

(use right click and save target/link as)

Thanks Maskrider
It's nice to see it has the same look as PS2 setup interface.
I'll download those movies as soon as I get home.

Many people has been downloading the other stuffs recently (Silent Hill 3 movies, Soul Calibur II movies, ...), they occupied all the connections allocated to movies, you may have to try later if you can't connect at a reasonable speed.
