Ahh! I spent most of yesterday cleaning house and today am having fun with the kids playing in it while the wife is at work. (It's my wife's work-weekend, I get the kids all to myself. ) It's too muddy to play outside, so I blew up around 50 balloons and let 'em run around like crazy people in the living room. To add to the fun I tossed the camcorder up on the tripod on top of the entertainment center aimed at the living room and feeding to the tv it was on top of so the kids could have fun watching themselves act like idiots on TV.
Then I noticed the old, abandoned lines I'd ran for my Rage128's tv-out before I got the wireless set-up and that crazed geek-mode took over and about 10 minutes later I'd reconnected the VCR in the living room to my wife's computer Blue and had audio and video feed live on the desktop to watch the kids...which I can see in my PC rearview mirror. (An old purse vanity mirror of someones rather cleverly positioned with the use of some sticky-gunk to let me keep an eye on Blue's desktop behind me....there's a similar one on Blue's hutch to let someone sitting at Blue see my monitors desktop. It's useful as hell and lets me and my wife make eye-contact and have conversations without turning around. (YES I know I'm weird!) )
I just got the tripod down and the kids are now filming each other taking 2 minute turns each and I'm just hearing PEELS of laughter and watching the fun all on my rearview mirror while playing around on Bubbles.
It's a good day.
EDITED BITS: I left out a paranthesis.
