Japanese Developers Changing Horses?

Agree on that. I would like to see someone research how much difference people really see though and how much that matters to them. I bought RE4 Wii today and the shop had some ps3 demo's running. When I started playing RE4 I noticed there wasnt that big of a difference once you start playing. I think it would be fun to set up a bunch of different consoles and games and have people play and say what they think. Ofcourse you need people who dont play games as the difference would be to obvious for someone who plays games. I think you might get some fun results. Like my dad, he isnt botherd by the gfx of rollercoaster tycoon2 or simcity3000 or even donkey kong on the snes but when he saw me playing zelda TP he said the gfx looked ''ugly''.

One thing you'll notice that is different is your shot accuracy in RE4 for the Wii. There are a number of people posting at avsforum who have played either the GC or PS2 version before commenting on their vast increase in accuracy. They report that when they played on the GC/PS2, they used to see 50-55% shot accuracy, but with the Wii version, they are seeing 80-90% shot accuracy.

Part of that could be because they know the game. But even myself, who have never played any version of RE, am seeing 75-80% through the first couple of levels. That's something the Wii uniquely brings to the table.
