Man, thats really gotta make AMD jelous. I really dont know how AMD is going to compete with a monster like that, which looks like what their 1.4 - 1.8ghz clawhammers will be doing here pretty soon.
I dont build high end servers, mostly just 2 way xeons. What is the real benefit of have 6mb of L3 cache? At 1.5ghz thats just amazingly impressive. I've never heard of a chip so big. Looks like they're still way ahead of the graphics industry, where transistor count is concerned. It'll take ATI and nVidia another 2 years before they start to approach that many transistors.
