Gameplay wise it shares pretty much nothing with the original release - mechanics and driving model have been completely redone. So was the soundtrack and some other things.
It does use upgraded graphical assets from the original release though, so it's not a completely new game, you could call it V1.5 or something

Is "that review" of the game any fair? Or did they just lash on a no name publisher, just to show how much they're independant and how they something else but hand over 8 and 9s?
I know you're not in the best place to answer to that, but you can at least recognize if the reviewer brought real point, or if he just didn't like it and leave it at that.
Also, is the game a "simulation" as the review seems to imply, comparing it to GT3 etc, or is it an arcade game, like what it was supposed to be?
I might give the game a chance if it's an Arcade racer.
