As to what game interfaces are like in 20-30 years, I hope they are Matrix quality, with true 3D and head tracking + eye tracking, combined with direct neural control of a character's limbs. :) It's nice that you try to compare the Rev controller to something futuristic, but it's yesterday's technology.

you fail to see my point. First of all, I said 10 - 20 years plus i agree with you that the end result of true virtual reality will be like the matrix with a neural connection. My point is that you have to take baby steps in that direction if you want to reach it. the revolution controller is a good start. the xbox 360 and ps3 controllers add nothing new to this goal. If gaming is going evolve, it has to make some changes. You can't go from the x360 controller to a neural interface. There has to be a gradual progression.

Nintendo is atleast trying. plus its better for gaming if we have more options. Would you guys be more satisfied if all 3 systems where identical? Because that makes no sense.

I bet if he praised it, you wouldn't hesitate to point it out, would you?
Did you see me point out any of the other guys who praised it?

I just wanted to point out that IMO, Dave Perry was over-glorified even back when he had hit games coming out.

30% of people asked saw some sort of problem.
If Kerry had lost 30% to Bush's 70% in the last prez election in the US, I'm pretty sure nobody would have criticized Bush for winning with such a weak election result. Do you?

Frankly I'm amazed not more people see problems with that bizarre rod. I too see problems with it (too damn few BUTTONS on it), but despite I've stated this a number of times you just keep on accusing me of bias. Oh man, that's hilarious. No, actually, that's pathetic.

I don't ONLY see problems with it.
That's not quite the impression you give though. 90% of what you've said about the controller is bitching, griping and spewing about how much it'll suck and/or how much anything similar in the past sucked. Bitch, bitch, bitch. Gripe, gripe, gripe. Spew, spew, spew. Any constructive thoughts or ideas coming from you on this subject ceased to have any meaning once you started laying on massive hate on a device you have no prior experience with.

You'll excuse me if I ignore any more of your ranting if you don't have any more first hand experience with the controller than I do. I generally don't pay attention to hypocrites.
More nonsense about hypocrites coming from you... If you actually bothered to look, you'd see I'm not as much defending this controller as just pointing out that it's wrong of you to condemn it without having tried it. I never said it was perfect, or anything like that, yet you seem so lost in your haze of hate that anything that questions your view turns into praise for that which you despise. That's a very strange outlook, if I may say so!

As for your bullshit about hypocrisy, that describes you perfectly, in the sense that in your mind YOU are perfectly allowed to bash X without having tried it, yet nobody else is allowed to defend X without having tried it. THAT is hypocrisy my friend... ;)

I'm not defending X. I'm just pointing out you're silly saying cassava root is yucky without ever having tasted cassava root. If you'd actually tried nintendo's new vibrating rod and didn't like it, well... *shrug* What's that to me? Maybe you like smearing your genitals with peanut butter in the morning before you put on a new fresh pair of underwear, I don't care.

While everybody are entitled to their opinions, I can't take strong negative opinions based on nothing seriously though. That just doesn't work.

30% of professional developers and game reviews in that article, some with actual hands-on experience with the controller agree with me at least to some degree.
"Some degree". :) I didn't see anyone laying on as thick a layer of negativity, scepticism and outright hate as you, but alright. I'll buy that. And note that just like you, only some had actual hands-on experience.

Another 2 expressed skepticism, but wouldn't make any definative comment until they've been able to actually use it themselves.
Now this you gotta respect. :D

So, I take it all of these game developers are also out of touch with reality
No, only those that hate something they've never tried.

Even your precious Nintendo controller.
Rofl. You're funny dude.

Ok this is locked too, it was more like a (welcome) news to begin with, but your little fights are more than boring now.
Have your opinions, express them once, and leave the others have their own.
(There's no point arguing about opinions.)
