I just found out Andreas Katsulas died 10 months ago...

Feeling a bit sad now. He was such a great actor.

I ordered the complete Babylon 5 box set from Amazon a couple weeks ago, and I've been working my way through the seasons since it arrived. The quality of the DVD encoding is hardly the best - some of the material is very grainy or scratched. some scenes or camera angles in a particular scene can be even more so and the bitrate overall feels lacking.

Yet it is B5, and nothing can chnge that.

Feeling the urge I started looking up some stuff on wikipedia, including Peter Jurasik first, and then Andreas, and that's when I found out he died in february this year..

Da,mn.

Such a brilliant talent. He and Peter were amongst the biggest reasons B5 felt as genuine as it did despite the series' low budget. Workign behind in some respects rather ridiculous makeup, their respective charactwers could easily been seen as a poor joke. Instead they became utterly serious, and very real when if they had not had that talent and intensity it would have been a disaster.

I'll miss him even though I didn't know hi.m Goodbye, Andreas..

Peace.

Here's a quote I posted on another forum after I heard the sad news.

"I believe that when we leave a place, part of it goes with us and part of us remains. Go anywhere in the station, when it is quiet, and just listen. After a while, you will hear the echoes of all our conversations, every thought and word we've exchanged. Long after we are gone .. our voices will linger in these walls for as long as this place remains. But I will admit .. that the part of me that is going .. will very much miss the part of you that is staying."

I found it comforting, I hope you also will.
