How many games from last gen used anti-aliasing?

I definitely saw aliasing even on the blur-o-matic sub-SD N64 games.

Seems like AA is a big luxury even for today's consoles. I remember reading about AA in the N64 back in the day thinking how awesome it would be that 3D games from then on wouldn't have aliasing. I was naive.

The only difference is fidelity, in that pixel-perfect LCDs make a hash of displaying non-native images, whereas CRTs did a stellar job of displaying all low-resolution images.
The joys of Gaussian filter reconstruction :)

Pardon the bump.

I'm just putting this here for archival purposes, in case it turns up in someone's search of the site.

As Rich mentions in this article, GTA 3 on Original Xbox used 2xMSAA. I assume the same is true of Vice City.
