Help with finding an X360 (sticky post?)

Mods or anyone who is interested,

I know there are alot of you out there like me that have been trying for days to find an X360. Retailers are either playing dumb or dont know. Other real gamers are like sharks with blood in the water. You still have to watch out for scammers looking to get rich quick so they are buying them up as well.

What I am getting at is simply wondering if we could have a sticky post for a week or two where we could drop useful info or tips on shipments to help each other score an X360. Like if you know Target stores in Indiana are getting some on Thursday post it.

I will drop a tip that newegg.com is getting an estimated 50 or so Premium 360s on December 7th and will sell them first come first serve at 8:00 AM PST on the 8th for $399.

I have been searching for days now and I am no closer to getting an X360 and calling around is getting me no-where.

On average using Ebay you will pay around 2X what the console sells for in stores if not more. On the 23rd Premium X360s were selling for $1200-$1500. Now they are still going for $800+.

Its a rip off. I could use that extra $400 for games or a video card or something.

Call up your local store the sells them. Ask when they will be getting their next shipment. Take note, if soon then you should most likely ask if you can reserve one by paying money up front now or something similair.

If the shipment is beyond, then look into your phone book, a very useful tool. Call any store that you believe may be getting such a system as the Xbox 360. Ask about their stock and then ask if they have anymore coming. If soon then reserve one.

If all the stores you call dont get consoles within enough time for you, then go to ebay, decide if you wish to pay up that cash for a console not nearly worth what their asking for. If you decide not to buy, go to the next step.

If all else does not work you have two options: 1.) Commit suicide. I mean, if you cant wait for a few months for this game machine then why should you live? 2.) Just wait, buy a new game for your PC or console you have now. Enjoy it, dont let your little jealously boil over because little Johnny 12 year old down the street's mommy stood outside Wal-mart for 12 hours for him and got one. Life goes on.
