July 4th Kruno, and thanks for the happy thought. 
My wife actually doesn't work this weekend and it'll be the first 4th the family has all had together in YEARS, for my daughter it'll be her first ever. My wife went out to the store to stock up on supplies and shocked the hell out of me by coming home with some bock beer and some margarita wine coolers....looks like the Dig is going to be exercising his rusty alcohol consuming skills this weekend.

i didnt even realize there was a holiday comming up. my view on holidays is that the only purpose they serve is to remind you how much your life sucks. this happens in one of two ways. one- you spend it alone locked in your bedroom watching tv / on the internet because you dont have any friends to do things with. two- you have your bit of fun, but then the next day life sucks again and remembering how good it could be just makes it suck that much worse. i have no clue what i did last 4th, valentines day, christmas, thanksgiving, haloween, birthday... i think that's all of them, but if I missed a few it's only because i don't remember them either and I really don't want to remember any of it.
and I really don't want to remember any of it.Get drunk and party. Not that that I will do that. I'll be hitting up some back roads where no cops are around and having a little fun in my car. Last time I did this I ended up with a blown turbo....I boosted a little too high. But now that the upgraded turbos are in it will be fun.
Then later on in the day my friends will come over and we can sit back and relax. We will have crabs, either jumbo or #1's, and get plastered. Then it's off to play football (soccer for everyone else) which I completely stink at. I'll get tackled a hundred times and my baby will have to nurse me back to health. I love this day, I really do.

Oh and later on at night we will go watch the fireworks. It will be a lovely time.
