About as much chance to happen as a snow flake in hell, the only 720p games you see on xbox are those that arent technically intensive, no matter how good bungie is at programming, i doubt they would be insane enough to waste bandwidth and memory space for a feature that a minority of gamers even has, bungie wants to push the visuals to the max, they would be insane to sacrifice important ressources for that.

That's exactly what I'm afraid off: that Bungie might go for better visuals in subsitute of framerate. I'd hate to see this game run at 30 fps, no matter how beautiful it looks. If they manage to lock this at 60 fps most of the time, I might even get an Xbox just for this game.

Considering developers said 'they are hoping they will achieve the same smoothness as in the first Halo', I don't think they are shooting for 60FPS here.
