I certainly agree with the fact that a more varied set of games should be used for evaluating videocards and that Synthetic benchmarks might not be indictive of future technology gaming.
But the whole article to me kinda gives me the impression that Kyles idea of handling the situation is bending over and taking it up the batty.
I mean, instead of just accepting "optimizations" and the move towards "console type setups" where you'll eventually need a specific vendors hardware to render a game people like Kyle and all other people who "have a say" should stand up and "fight".
A united press that won't condone, well ok, cheating and hardware specific game titles can help out to diminish them.
If not then Kyle has just signed his own tombstone, what's the point of writing a single word if he's taking for granted that nobody is listening anyways?
