Great idea. Now you can trawl through the 7million masses to find out if that disposable toilet seat or illuminated door knob is really so original.

Although it does appear most have been OCR scanned, so aren't quite perfect...

At least with google patents I don't need to swear in italian everytime I try to check some TIFF diagram on my mac cause for some obscure reasone QT can't display TIFFs properly and it also overtakes any other extension or plugin I add to my browser...

Tell me about it. I installed QT for some reason and found that AlternaTIFF, which does display the patent images correctly, was not allowed to run. QT went straight to the bit bucket when I discovered that.
