*God Of War 3 Thread v2.0 + Interview Stig Asmussen

Lol..the Game is already released here officially.

Sony brings forward God of War III Indian release

It’s becoming all too familiar. Some country in the Middle East breaks the street date of a Sony first party title. A couple of days later, import copies from the Middle East flood the Indian market at exorbitant prices. Fearing a drop in demand for the official release and faced with the prospect of being stuck with dead stock, Sony decides to officially bring forward the release date in India. It happened with Killzone 2, and now, it’s happening with possibly the biggest PS3 exclusive yet. God of War III, which had a scheduled release date of March 19, will now be available at retail stores across India starting tomorrow, March 13. That’s three days before anywhere else in the world.

Various retailers in Mumbai have been informing their preorder customers of the game’s earlier than expected release. While we weren’t able to get in touch with either Sony or the game’s distributor, Milestone, for an official comment, stock of the game is on its way to retailers already, and the game should be in stores all over Mumbai at least on Saturday (13th).

Too bad I am out of cash lol.

I'm getting the game for the spectacles and entertainment (story and what not). Also find the violence too extreme, but my solution is to get a younger 360 friend to play it with me. He seems to love GoW, and keeps talking about it. That piqued my interest.

I have a feeling this game is not for people like me, but I don't want to miss out. ^_^

Helios' decapitation was the only thing that even struck me as brutal, but everything else in the series just seems in line with anything out there. But unlike other genres, you know this about as fake as it gets given what you're really fighting and whatnot. Kind of like NGII where limbs flew all over the place.

That said, I don't quite enjoy GOW as a series because of the action. It's decent in that regards but it's the whole package of a seamless adventure, action, platforming and excellent puzzles and boss fights is what attracted me. For pure action, there are better games out there, but the overall package of the GOW games is IMO unbeatable.

Decided I'm going to pick it up tomorrow and finish it while I'm on vacation. It's only 10 hours, so I can sell it off fast form most of my money back.

I just picked it up at lunch, although I probably won't be able to play until tomorrow. I hope they built in incentives for re-playability.

In a game such as GOWIII, a couple of polygonal boobs would be the least of my worries when kids are around.

I'm going way off topic here, but I've always found it amusing how many people find nudity more offensive or objectionable than violence. Particularly when it comes to what level of exposure they'll allow for their kids. Although I've come to understand that this is very much a regional and cultural thing, specifically in the US.

Well that's the reason....Graphical violence in games isn't all that objectionable here [Renegade & me from same country] , however nudity does raises issues.

Hey I never said Violence is always ok, its just raises less issues than nudity, our country is multi religious anyways ;) ...it differs from family to family actually.

For most of the kids here, a videogame is synonymous to a fighting game ! So, finding Kratos ripping off Helios' head is either "Aaaa! " or "Cool!" to them, but nude women simply translates to porn here ! And frankly, I myself do not like to watch nude virtual low poly people AT ALL ! I find it revolting , somehow  ! Just not something I look forward too myself or want my nephew and niece to be oggling at.

Should really be the other way around for nudity and violence. As far as GoW3 goes given the artstyle nothing they do really makes me want to cover my son's eyes or shield him. The only game that really ever bothered me some was when GTA 3 first came out. Can't really explain the feeling I had when I saw him mowing people down with a car on the sidewalk, but I made him turn it off for awhile. Anyway if I was more conservative the QTEs at the end of the fights would get me up in arms before the tame nudity and sex.
