all i'm saying is, WE ENGLISH LIVING AND SPEAKING PEOPLE should NOT be part of that since we just liesten to the same audio track present in R1 DVD's, that is the ENGLISH one. see ENGLISH comes from... errmmm... ENGLAND.... u'd think that would be an advantage....

They have to wait to dub in haughty accents and put in some local dialogue so that people can understand, like calling a car truck a "boot" and using words like "hooligan" a lot. :p ;)

yeah and fix the "fag" issue on english movies... the "i'm having a fag" issue... u see, they have to dub that to "i'm having a cigarette" for u americans.....

yeah well i'm cool with that, just wished it could happen more often although i can't complain.... still, it's a strange connections when u think about it... i mean, how did cigarettes-fag in one country become gay-fag in another one??

it's not only Nintendo u know... EVERYTHING in the UK costs more.

Yeah I know its not just Nintendo, but it is Nintendo in this case. Also I don't think everything is more expensive here, a lot of things are though.

GC was actually released in the U.K cheaper then it was released in the U.S and cheaper then the rest of Europe. So Nintendo showed on release that things don't need to be more expensive in the U.K. Which is why I think its so silly that they didn't just make GC £70 like it is in the rest of Europe. Especially since the U.K is the European market were GC is struggling most, and also the biggest European market too.

Although it seems to be selling brilliantly here ATM anyway, and all stores are selling for, at worst, GC plus a game for £79.99.. so its not so bad.

FYI both boot and trunk are equally valid words here in the U.K :)

Oh BTW, regarding the discussion on how unfair it is that we get games/dvd's so late when we shouldn't need to (which I agree with obviously). I have one thing to say:

Mario Kart: Double Dash release dates:

U.S = Nov 17th
U.K = Nov 14th

Justice!! :LOL:

yeah there are SOME games that get released in the UK first, mainly PS2 titles developer here..... SH3 was released here first, then the US got a special edition months later.... most of the games developed in the UK get released here first, i think it's some kind of revenge from UK based studios hehehe

Yeah, but I notice you're particularly tight-lipped about the "hooligan" part...

I just didn't mention it because to be honest I'm not sure what you meant :) I mean its not as if hooligan is only a British word or that we're the only place with hooligans...
