Well if they describe it as it seems, referring to the xbox controller and halo 2 controls - the right analog would be replaced by tilting gyroscope technology. Meaning instead of moving the analog you could have the same speed/direction as a mouse pad. Instead of looking up or left you simply tilt your controller in that direction. This could abolish the whole mouseball built-in to your controller pad idea.
