GameSpy has released their annual E3 awards. They have their own list for PC, 360, PS3, Wii, DS and PSP. Also included is the overall best of E3 and special awards.

Here's a couple small tidbits from the article:

The biggest controversy during our post-show discussions erupted while deciding our game of the show. Our two contenders were Fallout 3, which emerged from this year's show covered in post-apocalyptic glory, and Irrational's soon-to-be-released BioShock, the spiritual sequel to System Shock 2 that wowed us at last year's show.

once we got hands-on with Assassin's Creed we became believers. This will be a product that shows why Ubisoft Montreal is one of the industry's most beloved studios.

From the exceptional introduction to the descent into action, Killzone 2 seems to completely unleash everything that Sony had said about the Cell processor. From the gritty and destructible environments to the amount of detail in both Helghast and ISA soldiers, even more so than in the controversially disputed 2005 unveiling, Killzone is back on the lips of gamers everywhere.

I think they chose well for the most part.

Putting LBP at the top of the PS3 list was a no-brainer, IMO. Ditto for Bioshock on the 360. It may not be revolutionary in how it looks (as good as the graphics are), but after watching that interview in the other thread I was blown away by the game overall.

A worthwhile read for sure.
