G70. A design for console or pc?

Forget the graphics card. They should have had 512 megs of gdr ram and 256 megs of xdr ram.

That is where they messed up. They launched almost a year after the 360 . They should have upped the ram , it would have been the easiest way to gain a visual advantage on the 360.

Increased cost/loss, twice the loading times, unbearable popins, and HD unaware costumers would probably say no.

I agree with what you said liolio.
Every single time I hear that multiplatform games are better optimized on the 360, but are they really?
I remember Nao saying on one thread that badly written code barely runs on the 360 and flat out doesn't run on PS3.
Isn't that the situation right now? Devs write code on the 360 and see that it runs ok so they release the game as is.
And we can all see what the results of this kind of thinking are on PS3.
But what can we say about the optimization of 360 games when the multiplatform games are the better looking ones while there is a huge gap between multiplatform and exclusives on PS3.
PS3 may really be the better machine but I think the biggest difference between the two machines isn't hardware related but "devs related".
I'm really not trying to say that 360 devs are not talented in any way (and I could very well be wrong on all accounts seeing that this post is pure speculation on my part) but I would really love to see what Naughty Dogs, Insomniacs, polyphony... could do on 360.

(now that i look at my post i see that it's basically a rehash of liolio's but that's a subject I had in my mind for a long time so i'll post it anyway ;))

I'm like you I've no technical knowledge to back up my claim, but I really feel like through AAA games the ps3 is already put to better use than the 360.
By the way I'm considering a new thread about this.
