It’s the last one. Don’t believe your lying eyes. It doesn’t show as free until checkout. And, yes, I only own regular Hitman 1 (GOTY isn’t available for purchase but GOTY Upgrade is).

Steel Rats now free on GOG for the next two days. Check their home page.

Deponia: Complete Journey, The First Tree, and Ken Follett’s Pillars of the Earth are free for another 12hrs on Epic. Then next weeks’ free games kick in: Alien Isolation and Hand of Fate 2.

Tonight We Riot free on GOG for I guess the next two days.

Edgar: Bokbok in Boulzac is a terrific game name and free with Twitch/Amazon Prime.

Epic’s giving away some microtransactiony DLC for a game with “Idle” in the title this week. Pine will be free next week.

Super Panda Adventures free at IndieGala as a DRM-free download. I’ve bought bundles from them before and haven’t had a reason not to trust them, but run it through VirusTotal anyway.

Nubarron free on Steam until May 9th 1pm (EDT?) to drum up interest. The Reddit thread links a short history of the developer's semi-failed attempts at securing funding. including a deal with a failed Chinese game console.

Interesting. Looking at the user reviews, many of the negative reviews are linked to running the game at higher than 60 Hz. Evidently the game becomes quite buggy the higher your framerate is over 60, in some cases making parts of the game impossible to complete.

Man, imagine if there weren't user reviews available. /whistle.

Game looks interesting and a lot of positive reviews as long as you don't game on a display that has higher than 60 Hz refresh. Going to check it out.

Regards,
SB

On Epic Games Launcher now (10th May)

According to GameGuru
The Lion's Song is now available for free on the Epic Games Store as this week's promised giveaway. This will be a permanent addition to the library of anyone who claims their copy between now and next Thursday. Epic usually uses the release of each week's freebie to announce the next week's giveaway. Not so this time around, as the website just lists "mystery game" as the gratis game to follow.

Company of Heroes 2 and its DLC Ardennes Assault both free on Steam til May 30th 1pm Eastern.

The CoH2 Case Blue DLC is free if you sign up for a newsletter at https://giveaway.companyofheroes.com/en/register. Apparently you can skip the newsletter by just entering your email (fake ones may work, too), accepting the Sega key redemption, then closing the window (without confirming your name and email). If you’re feeling crazy (for a free games thread), you can buy the CoH2 Master Collection to round up the rest of the DLCs. It’s $5.56, an all-time low, minus a bit for owning Case Blue (which is not well reviewed on Steam, so it’s really only worth claiming to make this bundle cheaper).

Little Nightmares free on Steam til May 30th 1pm Eastern.

Awesome, I remember being quite interested in CoH when it first launched but never got round to picking it up. The graphics made quite a splash back in the day, wonder how they hold up now.
