Thanks, but is it better ?

Different. The first one goes for a slow paced, serious sci-fi/horror with some suspense and mystery. The second game goes for a faster pace, pop-culture type sci-fi/horror, and more action and shooting mechanics.

I enjoyed them both, but I like the first one better. OTOH, some of my friends liked the second one better because it was more action oriented.

Regards,
SB

Layers of Fear and Q.U.B.E. 2 are now available for free

Epic Games has announced that Layers of Fear and Q.U.B.E. 2 are now available for free on the Epic Games Store. PC gamers can acquire their free copies from today and until October 31st. Next week, Epic Games will be giving away SOMA and Costume Quest. Layers of Fear is a first-person psychedelic horror game with a heavy focus on story and exploration. Players will deep into the mind of an insane painter and discover the secret of his madness. On the other hand, Q.U.B.E. 2 is the sequel to the hit first-person puzzle game Q.U.B.E. GOG.com is trying to earn your business by offering a free copy of Yesterday Origins to everyone who buys a copy of Blacksad: Under the Skin
through them between now and November 21st.

Company of Heroes 2 is now available for free on Steam for keeps for those who grab their copy of the real-time strategy sequel over the weekend.
The game's DLC is also now on sale, but there's an additional freebie for those who sign up for their newsletter,
as they will get the game's Victory at Stalingrad for nothing.

The Messenger is a retro-platformer with an interesting twist. It starts off like a fairly standard action-platformer from back in the day, but soon turns into "an expansive time-traveling adventure" that makes use of both 8-bit and 16-bit graphics and audio. And not just for visual flavor but as an actual mechanic: Players can swap between the two styles mid-level to solve puzzles, for instance. In late 2018 it got a new Game+ mode with a more challenging difficulty, and earlier this year new levels were added in the free Picnic Panic DLC. And now it's free for the week on the Epic Games Store: Hit the page, click the "get" button, take it from there.

Bad North (Jotunn Edition) free on Epic for the next week, then Rayman Legends. Remember to claim the free DLC for last week's freebie, The Messenger, while you're there.

Serial Cleaner (Steam key) free on Humble for the next three days if you subscribe to their newsletter.

If you’re already subscribed, it’ll say so when you click and still give you a key (which you have to redeem or at least reveal within six days, for anyone who’s not familiar with Humble giveaways). Worked for me now and in the past. Have you tried it?
