Free Fable 2 for xbox 360 download

Seems too buggy and not worth saving 19.99...and supposedly $12 used at Gamestop.

This gained a lot of publicity though, and I doubt a lot of people were buying Fable 2 (well, maybe a few as Fable 3 nears, but not before then).

So I'm saying, might be a great publicity stunt, give away a GoD full game free for a little while now and again (legitimately free). Also might raise people's awareness of GoD leading to more future sales, and all that corporate jazz. Restrict it to gold members to cause more gold signups, etc.

A potential downside is, maybe people hold off on buying games on the chance it might turn up free one day. So I guess dont do it too often.

Big downside here as locally best buy and futureshop are both bundling fable 2 with the console.

I just got the achivement for buying the castle with this download and purchase. I don't think ican do that with episode 1

Yeah, after you posted this Friday I tried to re-download the Episode 1 that I had already downloaded back in September 2009(evidently that's when Major Nelson first announced them). Forgot to try it out till late last night. I can confirm that I also got the full game too as I also received achievements. Before I couldn't get any achievements. Looks like everything points to this being a temporary glitch. Once Microsoft were notified of it, they removed it from the Marketplace.
