now THAT is a great result!!!

I can bet Milan never lost with that difference in the Champions League, or european cup, or in Europe ever esp, when winning first match 4:1... that is crazy

I am glad that Arsenal and Madrid lost. Zidane, Henry, Pires, Viera will have some break before the European Championship :p

I watched the first hour of it and monaco was sloppy as heck and chelsea dominated...

I cannot imagine for the life of me how they managed to leak 2 goals in @ the death..

however they do have an away goal and they do have a potent attcak... if they get it together they can win... if not monaco has done well enough to deserve to be where they are...

Monaco did quite well with 10 men - very much aided and abetted by some terrible defending by Chelsea. I must admit to laughing somewhat at Makelele's pathetic dive which saw the Monaco player sent off. Desailly will be banned for the next match for elbowing Morientes, I reckon.

I think Monaco will probably squeeze through in the return leg as Chelsea have completely mucked up their chances.

I think the result and a couple of fast and spectaular, but rather short periods from both teams saved the match from being mediocre. There was plenty of drama and scoring chances, but also more than enough boring moments. Arsenal vs. Chelsea was a lot faster and more interesting to watch overall IMO. Still entertaining, and Morientes' goal was spectacular...
