Frame pacing is one of those things... It's perfectly playable, doesn't bother much, but it's one of those things that make me go "WTF, 10 years in the making and they didn't fix this??!". Like a few other things, such as the totally annoying and fiddly 'press X to pick up or mount a Chocobo' thing that just doesn't f'kin work unless you line up your character perfectly. Honestly, what is this, 1995?
Brilliant game tho. Just got Ramuh. About that, I have no idea how or why the summons come out. I managed to get Titan out, but by the time he actually appeared, the battle was pretty much over anyway. Not sure how to get Ramuh out. I know they have to do with you or team members being at 0 HP but the option doesn't always come up. Weird.
overall, it is indeed awesome.Totally. Little niggles here and there. But it's E P I C
A comparison between the HDR and SDR offscreen on a LG C6 Oled.
I haven't got the game yet but can imagine the HDR in person would be eyegasm.
And did I. I posted some pics from the demo and made vague statement about ingame hair. Sorry, my English isn't very good so it wasn't very elaborate.
I didn't make close up hair/fur comparison when I had the demo, so there is at least something (Lightweight and Quality mode comparison on the PS4 Pro)
anyway, that shitty looking HDR is the same as my TV! LG UH610T
- Too many color boost = cartoony tone
- too high contrast
Yeah it'll definitely be Quality mode for me.
Maybe I'll play Uncharted 4 before I get into FF XV to see if the developer fixes the framepacing issues, but there's no way I'm playing the "lightweight mode" when I have a 4K HDR TV and a Pro.
btw does youtube from PS4 does record in 60 fps? i can't check the youtube video.
Game DVR on a Pro maxes out at 1080p30, but 1080p60 feed can be sent to Twitch and YouTube.
