Final Fantasy XV [XO, PS4, PC]

Holy fk is performance bad in the citadel scene. What are they even doing? I've been a Luminus apologist for a long time but if this is the best they can do with the engine I might change that...

Why are you rendering what looks to be volumetric clouds in the distance if you can't even render shadows 2 meters away from the player and the game is running at <20 fps? Probably the worst possible demo for the game they could release. I enjoyed Duscae more... I was so hyped about this this morning too :cry:

The shadow lod maybe, but the division looks leaps and bounds better than that

Just look how flat it looks, on top of being blury, have aliasing everywhere and running like crap.

Sure, but releasing a free demo like that is pretty much the worst thing they could do to affect how the game sells. Duscae was a better representation of the game than this imo. It's going to get ugly when DF get their hands on this, i'm pretty sure the game fell down to the low teens during the citadel scene, felt like i was playing at 10-20 fps.

Much better quality, same trailer

There seems to be TAA in that trailer, while the demo still has the ugly looking fxaa from Duscae, there's still hope :smile:

 
Fingers crossed, trying to convince myself it's only a demo and the final product will be better.

Personally I can live with the LOD if the framerate is stable.
 
Eugh this is not a demo.

It's more like those final Fantasy debug mode you can force unlock on ps2 Era.

It's just disjointed "levels" with buttons to test features.

Edit: the camera feels worse than duscae demo. This demo feels so sterile in the camera movement.

That footage looks it has no temporal aa while the environment one does, huh. Hair looks very rough without taa, squenix please!
