Well, if you watch the Amazon's presentation of the new Kindle set of tablets, one could be left with the impression that people are actually reading more, thanks to the e-book format's fancy new conveniences. But, the question is, does reading more (and faster) because to the new tech, automatically translates to more comprehension?

I'm pretty sure it's just that people are reading more because it's more convenient to read from a Kindle than from an older-style book, and there's also a large monetary investment up-front (compared to paper books) that makes people want to use their shiny new toys.

It's also quite a lot easier to buy a new book once you have a Kindle than to get a new paper book.

Not to mention, paper books take up enormous amounts of shelf space. Most people simply don't have room for all that many books. My parents had to get rid of bags and bags' worth of old books when they sold their house and moved into an apartment.

That said however, I don't think I'll ever stop buying paper books. Or I won't as long as they continue to sell them - which won't be for much more than a handful of decades at most for mainstream literature. The push towards digital is simply too enticing.

The paper publishing industry is headed towards the graveyard of history, for better, and for worse.

You're not going to find any truths at truther sites - they're nothing but looniebins full of nutcases and fruitcakes. Nuff said.

Oh, and the buildings fell because of weakening of the load-bearing steel members due to impact damage and heat. Not explosives, as no explosives can survive hours of raging fires. It's kinda self evident, really.

Like I said, looniebins.

 And I also want to see only good people around me and to believe that the government and corporations wish everything was good with everyone...

However, the reality is much more harsh. Unfortunately I am surrounded by mean, evil, arrogant and ignorant creatures which are preprogrammed to behave in this way only because it is much easier to control them.
The sooner you understand and accept the truth, the better for you. And the better for humankind, because in this form it is too primitive, especially human psychology.

So, you think it is much more probable that a gang of muslims did it in this freaky way, and not the satanic billionaires which prove everyday that the only attitude towards other people is as following: owner- slave.

Lol indeed. Take your crazy and go someplace else please - we're all stocked up here thank you.

Btw, Occam's razor clearly shows men with hijacked airplanes downed those towers, as any other explanation would require far too great a conspiracy and extreme levels of preparations. So, you lose. I'm sorry.

"most men and women will grow up to love their servitude and will never dream of revolution".
Bah! That one does not subscribe to crackpot looniebin fringe conspiracy theories does NOT mean one loves servitude!

What a load of bollocks that quote is, or at least your application of it.

Oh please. I've heard all that BS before, so...*yawn!*

From your level of paranoia I would be tempted to conclude you also believe we never went to the moon, that the earth will end in mid-december 2012 and quite possibly also that the earth is flat as well.

From your level of paranoia

When you don't have reasonable arguments to protect your point and you start with insulting the opponent...
There is nothing paranoic about me, first I do it having fun and second- there is nothing paranoic to be one of the different who don't accept the mainstream media and government bullshit. Because I'm from a country which is probably one of the worst possible to live in Europe, however the government everyday lies and tries to convince us how good it is to live there.

I would be tempted to conclude you also believe we never went to the moon

Correct, oh, you can be a smart guy. :???:
They didn't have sufficient technology to do it and given how intense the radiation is on the Moon, I bet that a person cannot survive so many years on Earth after that and die so old. :)
I suspect that even today it will be extremely difficult for them to send a crew on the Moon.

that the earth will end in mid-december 2012

False, then we can expect the beginning of a New age, not like the mainstream media tries to disinform and confuse us that it would be the end...

quite possibly also that the earth is flat

But that actually was exactly what the mainstream was forced to believe. The enlightened knew even then that it was false.

Actually there are many examples from history when the arrogant bourgeois didn't want to let a given knowledge reach the masses. ;)

I would like to say this nicely, but I don't think there's any nice way to say it: you need to see a psychiatrist. As soon as humanly possible.

I replied specifically to that part of his post, not the rest of it.

How is it bollocks? How people are easy to manipulate and subject to conformism, you don't need to look further than marketing and advertising. And that's relatively small-scale compared to other things.
