Legend
I was looking up Kipling's "Thousandth Man" to make sure of a quote when I realized we ain't really talked poetry here before. For me it's Rudyard Kipling all the way, the man just moves me. "If", "The Power of a Dog", "Thousandth Man", "The Last of the Light Brigade" (the sequel not the original), and too many others to count. I consider him one of the most gifted wordsmiths of all time and admire his work greatly, it just pisses me off at how easy it is for him to break me down to tears reading his words.

Dr.Seuss is also a genius but a wee bit more light hearted.

Who y'all like? What great stuff am I missing? I have limited exposure but do enjoy it.

Philip Larkin is a great modern poet. "This Be the Verse" is fantastic.

My favourite's William Wordsworth. All public domain by this point, so should be easy to acquire and peruse. It's been a while since I read his with though. I really ought to pick it up again.
