Fatal Inertial Screens.

Since it`s UE3 I wouldn`t hold my breath for AA support. And those jaggier shots are a bit different from the ones which are jaggy-free/marketing targeted, as far as my poor eyes can distinguish

Looks like all they have done is add'd motion blur.
Check some of the older screens to see how weak the terrain was. Low poly-count and poorly textured. The lighting was embarrasing, quite frankly, with the vehicles looking pasted over a different render and not composed at all believably. It's definitely progress.

Your correct, looking at the old screens it really shows the difference, i retract my old statment :)

the first pic has awesome lightning. its like i'm flying trough the forests of germany in realtime (we need a drool icon here :p )

Wow way improved I'd say. The backdrops in in the first and last pics look too god to be true though (first one may be a skybox texture, though).

hmmm i dont understand its like 2 different games within a month
so either
A/ theyve been playing with us
B/ theyre bullshots
C/ the ps3 is shipping with a nv8x
is it just me but certain ps3 games are looking MUCH better recently (which lends weight to C , still IMO unlikely though ), on that extrapolation i wonder what the naughty dog game look like, a hollywood film!

btw best use of hdr evar, wrt either ABC

edit -- to quantify my remarks it still looks like crap
eg this shot is so wrong

It doesn't take an nv8x to produce these visuals.

I choose answer D/ They've got the real game assets in place rather than old placeholders, and an improved lighting engine.

Looks very very nice. Taking into consideration this is relying on speed and open environents I see no reason why we should complain about the graphics.

THe boulder textures are really good in this shot:

I really hope to see this kind of improvement in motorstorm.

BTW, check this tow pictures, one is from the pre-rendered target video and the second from the actual game. I think they surpassed their target:

I think we have already seen a pretty good improvement in motorstorm, but we have yet to see it in motion on a more recent build. Screens never did that game justice.

I'm more interested in seeing how warhawk is looking these days, it's been 4+ months since we last saw it. o_O

I don't think Fatal Intertia has surpassed the prerendered vids, but it does look quite remarkably better than it ever has before.
