Check some of the older screens to see how weak the terrain was. Low poly-count and poorly textured. The lighting was embarrasing, quite frankly, with the vehicles looking pasted over a different render and not composed at all believably. It's definitely progress.Looks like all they have done is add'd motion blur.

Anyway, it's looking really great, has come along in a big way. Will be interesting to see video and/or how it plays at TGS.
It doesn't take an nv8x to produce these visuals.hmmm i dont understand its like 2 different games within a month
so either
A/ theyve been playing with us
B/ theyre bullshots
C/ the ps3 is shipping with a nv8x
edit -- to quantify my remarks it still looks like crap
eg this shot is so wrong

The sand looks too dark and too lumpy, as though the lightsource is on the far left and very bright, which doesn't fit the overall scene at all.But please do try to quantify exactly what you do not like about that screenshot.

I really hope to see this kind of improvement in motorstorm.
This could be a PDZ of PS3.
THe boulder textures are really good in this shot:

BTW, check this tow pictures, one is from the pre-rendered target video and the second from the actual game. I think they surpassed their target:
