F.E.A.R. 360 video

To be honest, I wish they would just drop the soft shadows. Trying to make soft shadows look correct in all cases is a waste of time, in my opinion.

Hard shadows are fine, especially in an action game. No one notices the shadow edges when he's fighting those goddamn invisible ninjas.

None of that's confirmed of course, as we're writing it wearing our hat of enormous speculation, but it swells the shooting credentials of Sony's next-gen console, joining other big hitters like Valve's Half-Life 2.

When we contacted Vivendi we were met with a firm "no comment" on F.E.A.R. PS3, still, it's exciting news indeed and we'll bring you more on the game as it shivers in.

These are still rumours...

Rumour or no, but it's on the ESRB website as coming for PS3, and the president of the studio doing the 360 port mentions in a new interview with Gamasutra that they're supporting PS3's online service (see: http://gamasutra.com/features/20060809/vanzelfden_06.shtml). On a general note, the news would hardly be surprising at all, but for me any console version would be rendered rather redundant by the announcement of freely downloadable MP FEAR on PC, unless they're doing something particularly special with the console versions.

FEAR isn't the only one Day 1's project. They make second game announced for next-generation consoles and its publisher is LucasArts:

And it could be only a typo on ESRB site...;)

I am not saying that the game won't be on PS3 because of course I don't know that. It's just really strange that Vivendi didn't announce it if it's really coming for PS3.
