Extending the DualShock 4's range

Does anyone here have the DualShock 4 bluetooth adapter for the PC? And is it compatible with the PS4?

I ask because I'm curious if you may plug it in to said console with a USB extender and make multi-room PS4 possible without having to buy a little PC or PSTV.

I think you don’t need a special adapter, just Bluetooth 4.x capability?
