90 - 9, 80 - 8, 70 - 7, etc... they are all mapped to the same icon... and so forth for other similar combinations...

It's quite simple:

Some examples.

99-18=81
98-17=81
97-16=81
...
90-9=81

89=17=72
88-16=72
87-15=72
...
80-8=72

39-12=27
38-11=27
37-10=27
...
30-3=27

The result can be predicted quite easily. It may seem like you have a lot of options but the result is given.
