Digital Playground: Supports Blu-Ray

I don't know if this was posted before and I was going to post this on PC Hardware Talk but the mention of the PS3 makes this relevant here also.

Anyways, week old news, Digital Plaground (WARNING: Link is slightly NSFW, watch your back! ) is supporting Blu-Ray for the same reasons other movie studios are supporting Blu-Ray. Mainly cause of the PS3.

"Companies selling PlayStation 3 will have Blu-ray built in, which will make it into homes faster,” Digital Playground co-founder Joone told XBiz. “The security features of Blu-ray also are really good for copyright protection."

Some people say it was the porn industry that propelled VHS over Betamax and introduced the internet to the mainstream faster than the other industries. Did Sony finally get their revenge? Ironic no?

The article mentions Fever Island 3 and Pirates as their first Blu-Ray titles.

Lurid was giving away an XBox360 on their stand because it is one of the only consumer devices out there that can do HD movies at the consumer level. In the above picture, they are streaming smut from a MCE05 PC to an 360, and as you can clearly see from the pictures, the quality is great. You can see every little [not a chance that this will make it in, so I will censor it myself], and the donkey too. Without Microsoft and the XBox360 team, we would not have true high quality filth, thanks guys.

Yee of little faith.. apparently, it isn´t bad quality..

Yah, I've read articles citing that porn in HD is a mistake.

But, we'll see if there's a market for it.
