I got this...more Destiny playing equipment

It's an Asus eeebook, only $179, has Windows 8.1, most important for me, 10-12 hour battery life. 2GB RAM 30 GB solid state storage (which is 14.5 GB available out of the box)
Laptops like these are basically Microsoft's answer to Chromebooks. They give manufacturers Windows for free if the MSRP is under $249, to blunt the price advantage of Chromebooks. I thought about a chromebook, but with a similar price I'd still rather have full fledged Windows (even if you cannot do that much with 2GB/30GB).
Anyways so far I love it, it was exactly what I need. I had an few years old clunker Dell laptop before, big, heavy, 15.6", and around 2 hour battery life. Meaning I essentially had to keep it plugged in. Certainly the Dell would be better as a desktop replacement, but for what I need this Asus is much better. Small, light, lasts forever on battery. I just keep it on coffee table for easy access to Destiny LFG and Tower Ghost with a mouse (I despise trackpads and always have, find them unusable). I bought a tablet for the same reason, but it's not nearly as effective as typing on LFG is not as good.
I dont like charging cord clutter, so my plan is to run it on battery, and just charge/stow it in the other room when sleeping/not playing. That's why the extremely long battery life was key for me.
HP makes a similar more popular type thing called the HP Stream 11, I liked this better based on reviews, it has a better screen and longer battery life (10-12 hrs vs I think ~6 for the HP). The HP has the advantages a bit more chipset power (but not even that much) and USB 3.0 (The Asus only has USB 2.0). I definitely prefer this one. Besides the HP looks a bit like a cheap kids toy IMO.
Great coffee table Destiny playing aid!
