anybody raiding tomorow? or doing the weekly stuff?
My coiled hiss has 48 rounds with the extra ammo perk unlocked. I love it.Yeah I use coiled and badger a lot too. Coiled's downfall is it essentially has a ten shot clip (30, but 3 round bursts). Not every gun can get field scout (I get the impression it would make some guns too powerful, hence why Badger cant get field scout). Also I'm not sure how field scout works on pulse. I think unlike on scout and HC it doesn't always go to a set number, IIRC. But anyway a coiled hiss with FS would be nice.
Edit: Just looked and according to Destinydb Coiled can get field scout.
The Gheleon's Demise in the last IB was slightly better than my Badger. It had firefly+outlaw+two more rounds (16 mag)+same impact. However, it was so marginally better I deemed it not worth grinding for.
I have a Badger that dropped with Firefly so that's pretty good. Replaced my previous vendor version which had mulligan which is one of the worst perks.
I think I have Up for Anything too. I think Abyss Defiant is a lot better IIRC. It's fun to experiment with different primaries on patrols. However, any gun looks good against trash enemies. Up for Anything IIRC isn't worth it for serious work,
Now that shotguns are buffed I want swordbreaker again. I got it a few times and shredded it every time. Thing is to get it again I'd probably have to run normal Crota and just hope for it. Who knows if I'll ever do that. I also sharded my Preadyth's Revenge a long time ago and kinda want it again, after I saw this vid where a guy was claiming it's still a great sniper, I realized it probably was. He said it's the best for PVP (which though I dont generally PVP, I like to keep known PVP beast guns around in case I ever do). He was also saying that with the 6 mag and great stability, he often feels like it's better than Black Hammer even in PVE, or at least a great patrol sniper.
Oh well, PR will DEFINITELY be obsolete after House of Wolves takes guns to 365 so I wont worry too much.
Let's compare Fatebringer to Thorn then, even with Mark of the Devour feature of the Thorn, a Fatebringer does roughly the same amount or maybe higher damage (will confirm this today) especially if you count the firefly damage It's also one of the most fun weapons to use, if only other weapon classes were half as fun to use as Hand Canons. The difference between 331 and 300 for any given weapon is ~14.5% damage. You are comparing totally different classes, and yeah Fatebringer is better than Nechrochasm!
15% is to me likened to a light level or something. My guy dealing 15% more hypothetical damage across the board over thousands of enemies becomes a big deal. So I think transitioning to 331 weapons across TDB is like gaining an invisible light level.
If it's another 14.5% or so next time with House of Wolves 365 weapons, now the 300 weapons will be 29% behind. And so on.
I guess the key with lets take Fatebringer, is it will increasingly not one shot crit, two shot, etc the enemies that it one shots, two shots, now, with each new expansion and higher level enemies. So it will become increasingly untenable. But yes, as we know for now it's still arguably fine and one of the best weapons. But of course it would be better if it was 331...
No worries, if you are online, then thats great. If you not, enjoy that life thingLife? What's that? Ohhh, that thing I had before I bought Destiny?
Got some extended time off work, so I decided to take a little break from video games for once. I'm still on, just not as often.
I can probably get on in a few hours if you can stay up. I'll try to help you put together another raid group.
