Like my Philips 170W4P, it recognise 720/60p as 1280x720 and display it natively on the 1280x768 panel (with top and bottom black borders).
I think the capability of recognising modes depends on the length of the list of presets.
It has black bars? I see. I wonder if the one I want does too?
I might have to buy it from Best Buy, test it out to see how well it works, and then return it for a refund. Then I'll get it from an online retailer instead, saving several hundred bucks
