Cyan's *Must-Have* Skyrim Mod Recommendation Super-Gush Thread - daily updates

Who knows. At least Dragon Age 2 looked very (surprisingly) good on PS3, using MLAA too. But not really my type of game. Perhaps Skyrim, I'm with AlStrong here, also never played anything from this series. In fact, I haven't played almost any Western RPG at all (only very few JRPGs too). So I'm wondering if I'll like this one.
It's never too late. I played a few JRPGs but not many of them. I discovered Morrowind when I bought my Xbox 1 in 2004. I read GOTY on the cover -it said Game of the Year-, and I loved the info on the back cover, so I purchased it for 60€. The atmosphere and music -I used to sing the main theme to myself in my head- of the game got me totally hooked, although I never managed to complete the game and the world was a bit darker than Oblivion..

Here is the intro of Morrowind:

And this one is from Daggerfall, an old game which I never played:

The Demo they did at PAX was on a 360 dev kit. We saw it boot. All the footage I've seen so far has been from the 360.

Personally, I'm only hoping that it's got more Morrowind blood than Oblivion blood. ;)
Normally got my copy the 9 or 10 November, The 11 is closed in France (World War One Armistice) so delivery is early. After no time for others games. :D

Foliage shadow are not perfect, it seem that due to the fact that your not near them. And look at the view distance is very close.

A 20 min footage give to be 360.

wow wow wow, can not wait... I am glad they fixed 3rd Person view animations too, love the music and atmosphere. Love the new menu system.

looks good too!

FM4, BF3, Skyrim. I will be set for games for some time to come

Hmm....if you saw it thenI beleive it. But then Dev Kits have extra memory(just nitpicking here) and we have still not seen the ps3 version, the version I plan to get and screw every other game except Demons Souls, this year.

I am not really sure if I will like Skyrim ,having never liked RPGs enough, but somehow I want to ! I am sick of the cinematic shooters and action games. Either give me a hardcore game like Demons Souls or let me live in a world beautifully crafted where I can realx after Demons Souls' soul burning sessions !

Actually, it was a standard Dev kit, the launcher screen said 512MB. (yeah I tend to look for that stuff :)). So standard 512MB, no extra memory, no extra hardware, just what we call red signed, so you can run code that wasn't signed by MS on it. There are a number of different kinds of dev kits, but most of them would be the standard ones, they're what most studios use for testing since they're functionally identical to the shipping boxes.

WoW ! THanx for the info :D ! Any news about the ps3 version ?

WoW ! The music !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Exteriors look better than the interiors, mainly due to the fabulous sunlight and the loooooong draw distances and great colours :D !

Also, some amazingly low res, over sized big ,repeated wall textures everywhere. No wonder the game size is so small.

Ouff I want desperately to see ps3 version walktrhough, because I can't to avoid to be worried...
It certainly does look like their lead platform is the 360 if all their demos are any indication. I doubt they'll short the PS3 though, Fallout seemed better on the PS3, in terms of textures at least..

I get the feeling that they target 360/PC/PS3 all at the same time and have since Fallout 3. That's probably how most companies are trying to do things these days.

Oblivion was a 360/PC target for the most part. Before that we saw Morrowind as PC target and then ported to Xbox. They've been gradually refining their multiplatform development.

New excellent video about the making of Skyrim. Don't worry, there aren't spoilers:

Someone at Reddit posted a picture of their review copy and their well-stocked provisions and some other baked goods for the review:

This is the music of the Elder Scrolls series on piano. What a fine instrument:

And a couple of fun videos as a token

New Vegas did. Fallout 3 not so much. But then New Vegas was so messed up that small advantages or disadvantages got lost in the ocian-sized pool of bugs anyway.
