Is there some site where one can gaze upon the innards of modern consoles, photographed nice and professionally in high-res with lots of details of the various thingamabobs inside etc? Including controllers, preferably...
You see, I'd hate to have to open up my new Gamecube just to sate my own curiosity.
It's a very nicely done piece of hardware by the way. I knew it was small, but seeing it - holding it in my hands actually - really tells how REDICULOUSLY small that thing is! It is an extremely impressive piece of hardware, and to think it's all cooled by that tiny fan with hardly any flow at all... Okay, so the air coming out of it IS rather hot, but still. It is impressive. Of course, PSU is external, which saves size (and a bit of heat), but it's still damn impressive. Especially with all the expansion capabilities, etc.
Wish Nintendo had made the Gameboy Player use the second serial port though, leaving the high-speed port open for a harddrive...
Oh by the way... Shots of PS2s taken apart would also be cool. Hehe! Preferably of recent revisions of the hardware since things have changed a bit on the inside since the introduction. That supercool heatpipe-equipped diecast fin/pin heatsink isn't present in the newest version.
