First time I heard it too, but I got it right off the bat. If you type in the word "f-a-n-b-o-y" the word filter on B3D rightly treats it as a curse word and stars it out.

Thus you get "******" when you type it, six stars.

If you had ask me this Question 11 years are ago when I was 17, I would have given you a long answer back then I was a sega ******, but when I turned 18 and was able to afford things of my own, and had no bound to my parents house, I started to buy all consoles on the market, and since that year I haven't been a ******, today I can really care less who wins, all I want is good games and IMHO this generation sucked, I was so bored with gaming I almost quit, until ninja gaiden was release that game is so F N great I can play it over and over, and not get bored.
