China GPUs are ready for HPCs

I wonder whether the government will "encourage" local and foreign companies located in China to use home-grown solutions?

Also interesting to see they support the new TF32 format

Edit: Nothing new with regard to poaching:

Ethereum mining is dead. Even if miners go to the supposed "PoW-fork" of ETH, or ETC, they are still going to face the problem of huge excess hashing power.
As for HPC, well let's just wait and see, though I doubt we'll see anything concrete, such as benchmark results from an independent group, considering that China is not even participating Top500 now.

Theoretical numbers mean squat, AMD claimed the same with the MI250X (2 GCDs), (with theoretical numbers for a single GCD far exceeding the A100), only to be proven wrong on most actual applications, (single A100 significantly faster than a single GCD).

There's no info on availability or pricing because there is none. TSMC isn't supplying China currently, the chips they have were produced before sanctions hit it.
