Caselabs cases

Haha. There is actually 33 fans on the table. 28 goes to the 4 radiators. 8 per 480mm radiator x 2 and 6 per 360mm radiator x 2. I might need couple more actually, I'm not set on the final configuration and there are many different possibilities to arrange the stuff. The fans and the pumps will be rpm controlled and should be very quiet.

Single fan all the way:

Gratz on getting order through!
Now I see you have quite a bit of fun ahead of you once this case turns up!

Please take few pictures during build-up process if you could!

PS. Happy Birthday Dr Evil

Thanks man! It's a week early, but I'll take it

Yeah I'll definitely take some photos of the process and post a few of them. I'll try to build it quickly as I have only one proper computer, so once I took the parts out of the Raven, I'm basically without a computer until the new one comes alive. I can install quite a bit of stuff to the new case before I have to deactivate the old one though. I'm pretty sure I'm missing some parts though

The case is in da house!

It'll raise couple inches once I install the casters on it. I like it, the build quality is outstanding and it looks sufficiently formidable next to my Silverstone Raven 2 :)

Progress has been quite slow. I noticed I missed screws for the radiators. I ordered some more only to find out that M3 30mm screws are too short for me. Those are good for the side that only has fans connected, but not enough length to attach it to the case, let alone with a filter...

Seems 35mm screws are near impossible to find in Finland, so I had to order them from Germany... I wont be getting them until next week...
Also the 3/4"/19mm outer diameter tubing might have some issues with holding it's specification as the tightening ring of the compression fitting is super tight over them and tightening it with a hand proved to be near impossible. In my old setup with a 13mm OD tube, you made your hand bleed, but it was manageable, not the case with my current components...

Luckily with some hunting I found out about this "Boa constrictor wrench"

Works like a charm. You can apply incredible torque to round objects with that.

What did you do with big mother of all cases then?
Are you still planning building monster rig around it or you're sticking with your mITX case for main rig?

I sold the big one. It was a bit too much in many ways and an impulse buy. The new one will be my main rig. I basically traded my 2 GTX 680s and got a used 690 to put in there. I also kind of bargain hunted an Asrock Z77e-ITX motherboard and a 2700k CPU. I never have the patience to wait, Haswell in this case...

I also got a Corsair AX860 PSU. The GPU will be air cooled and I got an Antec Kuhler H2O 620 for the CPU. I'll be using the GT14 fans on the case and on the 620. 3-4 intakes and 620 exhausting at the back. The 690 will look pretty in the window :)

Even though the TH10 proved to be a bit much for me, I fell in love with the build quality and finish of these cases and once I saw this new Mercury S3 case, I just had to get it :)

There's nothing "micro" about that mATX chassis man :)

It looks like you could toss a full size board in there; that's an immense footprint.

I'll stick to my Little Devil PV-V10 with integrated Phase change.... Can't give up my sub-zero temperatures

I'd like to see some pics of your current rig :)

Yeah even baby Caselabs are quite big :) It's a mITX case though. It doesn't take a mATX board. There will be a Mercury S5 soon though that will.

Got my build finished and fired up. I didn't really put too much effort in to tiding things up, but it seems to be running smoothly... It has

Asrock Z77E-ITX
Intel 2700k
Asus GTX 690
Intel 520 180GB SSD
1TB Samsung HDD
Antec Kuhler H20 620 with 2 Gentle Typhoon 1450rpm fans exhausting at the front.
Corsair AX 860
Scythe Kaze Master Ace Pro fan controller

I've got two Gentles at the top and one Thermalright X-Silent 140 at the bottom as intakes, all dust filtered.
